I might have to decide against the G35. Sad day

Answer these questions:
1. Can I afford the monthly payments for 5 years? $15k loan, 60 months, $300/month (5%, 0 down, 0 trade-in)
2. Can I afford the monthly insurance? $200/month
3. Can I afford the gas cost (good driving) of 50 miles a day? $250/month
4. Can I put aside at least $75 monthly for maintenance fees? (oil, tires, clutch, brake, etc)
If you CAN answer YES for 1, 2, 3, 4 without HESITATION then you can be sure to afford a G. That doesn't mean you should starve or not being able to have a life for it. Just my experience with owning a G as daily driver. Hope this help with your decision.

(I was thinking about becoming a pizza delivery guy cause that'd be sick in a G, but then again it's not worth it on the miles and constant maintenance)

oh dear god NO. Please don't deliver pizza in the G. My dad does food delivery and his car stinks to high heaven. Can't get the smell out of it. Good thing it's a crappy and abused Civic. And if you're gonna use it for delivery, get something with good gas mileage. You make money off tips and gas milage as delivery driver.

Honestly , with 12g's you can find a great deal on a g35 coupe, even a better deal on a sedan( not my style) .. look under craiglist. and meet in person. i bought my 2004 g35coupe(desert) fully loaded, bose system , sunroof, navi.(no brembo) only 49k for 12500 cash, bought from a senior owner.i drove 2 n 1/2 hours but it was worth it , we met at the dmv. and took the car. did my own car fax, and took it to the dealership from there , everything came out clean= rode it home=) then my wife took over.lol

Well I've made my decision, I'm gonna borrow 4k and just get this car. http://www.revscene.net/forums/fs-19...a-t636251.html or http://www.revscene.net/forums/fs-20...u-t637911.html
I'm thinking the prelude.
I'll be back on this forum in a couple of years when I have the money to get a real, 25k G.
Like this one for sale

Hey man I just sold my 98 prelude to buy my g35 and the prelude is a great car by far (not better than the G lol) and there really easy to work on.you made a good choice by getting the M/T because the auto is a POS but I do have to warn you the h22 motor eats up oil especially if you are going to be getting on the vtec alot(5200 rpm) so just be careful and check your oil level.
Good luck with it and try not to sink to much $$$ into it because they arnt really that fast
So just save up some $$ and when you think u have enough saved sell the prelude and buy by the G

I think you made the right choice here.
I would recommend against taking on debt just because you can, but if you must take on as little as possible. Paying finance charges is like burning money on a hot day.
Buy something that will get you around until you get your career going. Then save well, and soon enough you'll have a stack to drop on whatever you want... Like a G35... still.
The G35 will be much less expensive by the time you've started a career and are making real money. While over time the price to purchase a G will go down the price to maintain and mod out will not. All that money you didn't spend on a newer G35, extra finance charges, higher gas cost, higher insurance cost, upkeep, etc.., you'll have to spend on mods.
Mods are expensive! And the G begs for things like wheels, suspension, exhaust, body kit stuff, headlamp/taillight mods, engine dress up, a built out motor, forced induction, interior dress up, etc.., and all that **** is really going to add up. You do not want to take on debt to pay for any of it. You'll be thankful that you saved up the money to burn.

Thanks guys, always make me feel like I'm not regretting it. See this is why I love this forum, I was on a Subaru NASOIC and a mustang forum, they're all about their car and soo biased, will tell you that their subaru will outrace a nissan GTR with their mods. But here you guys are realistic and don't talk down cars.
