I might have to decide against the G35. Sad day
man soo much time wasted looking at G35's, I figure with everybody like EVERYBODY telling me it's my first car, I don't even have the cash, this and that, many reasons just I shouldn't get an expensive car to begin with, I'm thinking of a prelude or something like that.. Prolly for the best and maybe in the future I'll get a G35/G37. One day..
actually f*ck it, I'll wait or find a sedan, I find auto sedans for 12000 all the time but I'm just picky and want a manny coupe. All the preludes and other cars have 160000 km's anyways so why should I pick those. Why is picking a car so hard to do

im 21 and a few months ago i bought my first car. before that i drove my grandmas 96 oldsmobile. i bought the g35 coupe 03 for 13,000 with 73k miles. i got the coupe even though i enjoyed stacking 8 people into the olds'. honestly get what you want. if you don't you'll regret it. i looked for an entire year before having enough money and finding the exact car i wanted. i couldn't be happier with my choice. for me the sedan was more convenient, and cheaper, but everyday when i look at my car it makes me happy i made that decision.
also remember to take into account sales tax, and insurance. they caught me off guard.

Yes get what u want....if u are looking at g35's and get a prelude instead there is no way you'll be happy....id get the coupe over a 4 door.....to me the 4 door is ugly doesnt even look like a g35....
Lurk moar before posting crap like this there are some STUNNING sedans out there when done right. CandlestickPark is easily one of the cleanest and best looking rides on this entire site.
Sedans take a lot more work to mod successfully.
OP if you're going to come into this with a budget of 15k just be prepared to sit at stock for some time. If you don't plan to modify then save your cash and find one that looks and works for you. If you plan to mod STILL save your cash and find the right one for you. Once you buy you can't go back and have to work with what you got.
Dont sell yourself short and just "settle" for something because you will eventually be kicking yourself later down the road. Of course dont just throw away your money on a car when there are other priorities in your life that needs to be attended to first.
plus i dont think an AT sedan is all that bad
Sedans are also lighter, more aerodynamic, and have better chassis rigidity. Go figure. I have a coupe, btw.
Nothing wrong with a sedan, but if you're going to spend this much money on a car, get as close to what you want as you can. I know people that shop for over 6 months looking for the right car for the right price. Pick your body style and pick your transmission. Pick your top 3 color choices (or less, if you really want a specific color or two) for the exterior and figure out which interiors you can live with as well, and set out on your search.
Spend your time and get to know the car before you even go look at one. Know what to look out for (synchro issues are big for earlier models, oil consumption on rev-up motors, etc), so you don't get a car with a bunch of issues.
This sounds like your first car. Most people keep their first cars for a while, so if I were you, I'd make sure I'd like the car - it makes such a big difference you won't even realize it.
I drive 60 miles a day bare minimum during the week. Usually 150 miles on Fridays, plus some during the weekends. And you know what? I do not mind AT ALL. The reason? I love my car. Absolutely love it. Yeah it's not perfect and some things are driving me nuts and I really want to move to my next car (E92 M3) for something new but overall I love my 04 6MT G Coupe. Trust me when I tell you that liking what you drive makes your commute (as well a sitting in traffic or running errands for your Mom) so much more bearable.

I had a 97 prelude and it was awesome, i really missed it. i took it to track and it hangs with nicer cars very well and impressed many people.
i would say stay with cheaper car if you plan going to college so you don't feel that stress about money.
