05 Coupe 6MT

A few days ago I was claning the leather, and pulled the tab for the back seat to drop down, then put it back up after.

Today I went to do a few more spots, but the tab I pulled is no longer there it is not visible at all ! So I think the tab got pinched or something just below the top of the seat where it usually sticks out... but I have no way of knowing since i cant open it.

How the heck can i fix this ??

I need some pics my good man, In my 07, there are tabs in the trunk that I pull to drop the seat. I don't even know how to open it from the front.

 

From the top? I'm assuming the back seats since the front seats can tilt forward via the handles on the side of the seat..

Kind of confused since these tabs are built into/onto the seat so unless if I'm thinking something differently.. don't see how the tabs can just disappear.

 

Seriously, how do you fold down the seats from inside the car? I always do it from the trunk.

 

Go inside your car, look at your back seats (facing them from the front). up on the top the passenger side rear seat should have a tab and the driver side one as well. The seats will fold down in a 1-2 form, meaning- one seat will go down individually, where as the other seat will bring down the rear center "cushion" with it as well.

 

No way. I have a solid bench in the back. It's all or nothing. Do you drive a sedan?! I have an 07 coupe.

 

In the coupes, there a little red strap tucked away behind the seat somewhere in the middle, you need to fish for it. Thats how you drop the seats from the inside.

but the tab isn't visible from either the trunk or inside the car

 

Your looking for a strap. Its not going to be visible because its usually wedged in between the seats. Like I said before, you need to dig for it. Here's a pic:

thanks guys, i got the tab, i found the tab in the rear too. The inside tab was folded up under the cushon I had to use a wire hanger to get it out ! haha.

I was amazed when I locked my keys in the trunk and the dealer told me how to pull the the seats down with the tab... lol

 

those are some dirty rear seats man. mine look mint
