Finally HR Y-pipe

So guys today I finally installed an HR Y-pipe from a Z on my 04 coupe . I noticed the exhaust doesn't seem as loud at lower speeds anymore... Just curious to know if any of u have experienced/ noticed this also. Or am I just trippin?

When I installed an HR Y-pipe on my 05 Sedan the exhaust note was deeper throughout all RPMs and idle.

I think you're the first guy to report back having a quieter exhaust note. You sure its a HR Y-Pipe?

Its only quieter at idle and take off, at faster speeds it sounds the same.

Haha yeah I'm positive, I did all kinds of research on the pipe and even studied pictures before I bought it... I would post pics but I do all my posting through my smart phone and am not sure how

sounds wise its either gonna do nothing for the coupe or make it quieter but for the sedan its noticeable cus they have a ****ty exhaust system. this is more of a sedan mod rather then a coupe mod imo. anyone notice the 350z is alittle quieter then a g35?

I agree with that, I didn't think the install was worth the potential difference, I would have just gotten an aftermarket y..

Giving back to the G community in "Spades!"

Rather than wasting your hard earned $$ on a y-pipe a far better option is to buy a system that's truly a dual system from the exhaust manifolds back or replace the OE cats with BERK'S HFCs which will free up 8 to 10 HP. I've been thru the y-pipe replacement faze, it offers no improvement....zero!
