Better get use to the being a DIY type of person. Even after getting a new window motor will eventually fail again on you.

Yeah, it's about time i clean my driver side window. What would you suggest in terms of a process w/ materials. i guess people are using some rubbing alcohol??? gotta get used to doing this.

^i used electronic cleaner(non-residue type) from Radioshack and gushed the hell out of it. I sprayed it while holding it upside down so the dirt drips out. It's almost like pressure washing it with this stuff, except it dries almost instantly. It comes in a spray can with a straw attachment similar to the ones that comes with WD-40, brake cleaner, etc.

I also used sandpaper or brillo pad for the carbon build-up and an air blow gun as well. Basically, I clean it like I'm gonna eat off of it! However, make sure you leave the parts that was meant to be greased. If you accidently cleaned it off, just regrease it.

Common problem along with actuators. I had mine replaced one year after purchasing the car new under warranty. I've heard of members changing them up to 3 times. It's too bad Infiniti never upgraded the motor to an improved part.
