i'm in the market for a new vehicle and i'm interested on this 3 cars.

I'm going to be looking at a c230 at a dealer in ajust a little bit to see the car... i looked at a 350z and g35c but havent test driven any.

I Would like to receive some opinions to help me decide which car to buy and the reason why.

I do not need the car to take kids around, but i do have friends.
I will be driving the car alot to work and some short trips.

A C230 is overpriced, too slow, and ugly in my opinion. The G35 coupe is a much better car. The closer car from MB would be the new CLK320. Its a nice car, but still behnind the G35 in peformance. It does have much more room and can be optioned up with more luxury. Costs more too. Also, the handling on this car is setup slighty softer than even the previous CLK, so its more of a luxury car than sports car.

The 350Z is a great sports car, but again if you need to carry people, want more luxury, a better warranty, and better styling get the G35 coupe.

 

Well you sure did come to the wrong place to get a fair and unbaised opinion but I'd check on Infiniti's website and compare the 3 cars right there. Although that is a biased opinion too you can still see the cars side by side.

 

MB has higher shop costs for general maintenance. That's the primary reason I stayed away from them and now, they seem to be losing their edge in quality. The G has the looks over the MB, a quality build and performance. The feeling I get from the Z is that it's a more pure, less frilled, sports car that'll catch your eye. Really, these three cover the spectrum of driving cush; MB, G then the Z. You'll need to drive them to determine what you want for feel and cornering abilities. Good luck. ...dean

I finally took a look at the c230 today, i was greeted nicely with a salesman, got me the key and let me look inside the car.

Having a friends with a 97 E55 AMG and a brother with a BMW 325ci, I was very disappionted about the interior. The leather on the car iss great, looks, feels, and support nicely. but thats about all i liked about the interior. the rest of the car specialy the dash board was just what I expected from MB ( or I guess its only for this C class).
The leather seats was the only thing that made the INT> look "nicer". The silver lookng trim that goes around the center console didnt help either. I test drove a accord 6spd Coupe with leather and the INT was a lil nicer than the c230 in my opinion. No offense to any1 that has a c230.

Now the EXT> of the car. wow, i liekd it when i 1st walked up to the car. It was a real nice classy look to it.

I just wished the INT was a lil higher quality but I guess you cant ask for much being stickered at 32k.

The car felt real solid..I didnt get to drive it but from shutting the door and messing around inside the car.


But i really like the look of its EXT. If the c320 ( 39k bigger motor than the c230) was in the price range of g35 (34k) It would be a rewal tough choce between the two.

i'm leaning towards the G35. I just kinda feel that infinity salesman i have dealt with about the car wasnt as polite or helpful about the car , I know even one wants it but no reason for treating the customer with less respect. ( It was the Infinity dealer in ATl. blvd in jacksonville, fl)

 

You've been able to test drive the accord 6MT ?? Sheesh, here they won't take it off the showroom and have a $4999 second sticker. I'd grab that model if it came with the voice controlled nav. Seems Honda has a problem with that in the 6MT.

There have been some complaints with the Infiniti sales staff. But, if you figure you're going to pay MSRP (6MT coupe), don't worry about working with them too long. Just get the car you want. You'll forget about the sales staff right after that ear to ear grin takes over after blasting a 330. ...dean

Yes I got to drive a 6sod accord and i might add with no probelms at all, I know the GM of a honda dealer and i probably would have gotten a 6spd accord if i want for much less than MSRP,,,,,, The accord I drove was a demo i think, so the salesperson let take the car for its full potential, sorry for whoever gonna buy it but the salesman told me to take advantage of the cars potential , after he did it.

Its a greatcar only if it looked a lil nicer outside to me.

 

Based on your needs I think you should get the G.The G has a cushier ride than the Z and the "back seats" for your (hopefully small) friends.My Z feels stronger than the G's I've driven but as a daily driver you might prefer the G.Maybe a G sedan?When I drive my wife's I feel immersed in it's great"feel",sporty and luxurious and gets many compliments.

I think the c230 styling is pretty bland, sorta like the new Accords. Another con is that it is underpowered compared to other cars in it's class. A good thing about the benz is the status associated with MB.

The Z just depends on your needs. The G just has extra space, although not much. The backseat alone was enough for me to choose the G over the Z.
