So, is anybody gonna tell me how to make a decent stop-light to-stoplight showing against my buddies Acura tl-s with his 300 flywheel horspower? I mean, he's got fwd and can't launch That hard, right? I figure vdc off, build revs with power braking and then squeeze the thottle in manual auto., and shift about 5800. Whaja think?

launch at about 4000rpms and feather the throttle to minimize wheel spin and flatten er out and shift abit early .... yeah..around 6000 to 6200 ... before the power starts to drop off.

By the way what is the definition of breaking in.. I have about 1000 miles and I haven't gone over 3500 RPM but I HAVE gone over 60 quite a few times... have i violated the break in rules.. and another thing, do these cars really NEED to be broken in? I heard new cars dont require the breakin anymore and it doesnt make a difference.. even the sales lady at the infiniti dealership told me taht.

Several threads here on break-in. So a search. Lots of opinions both ways. My advice is to follow the Infiniti guidelines in the manual just to be safe.
