How does your 5at shift in manumatic?

So the pause between 2nd and 1st is normal? I have noticed that if I manually shift from 2nd to 1st (around 15mph or so) then go to accelerate there is a delay of a good 1.5-2 seconds. I usually try to stay in 2nd, but the few times I drop down to 1st I get that annoying pause.
For example if u are in second and u are decreasing the speed more than 5 mph (meaning u are doing about 10 to 15 mph). IMO leave the car in second if u know u want to "get on it" (mean speed) off. I notice the RPM's are high, but the transmission has not caught up to that speed.. that is when u feel the delay.. So leave it in second.. then hit the gas u wont feel as much delay, but the delay is still there because the gear as not "caught" up to the speeds (rpms) that the motor is turning at.

Right.. i know what u are talking about.. To be honest with u.. first gear sucks in the AT (yes i have an AT).
