Can anyone tell me if the TSB # ITB07-006, Tear in drivers seat cushion is covered by warrenty on a 2005 G35 coup. The last visit to my local Infiniti dealership the service rep said it was not covered yet I've read posts were others have had it replaced for free. The tear on my seat is in the same spot as indicated in the TSB.

Hmm. I thought it used to be covered.. 4 yrs/60k miles though.. So 2005 is SOL...

 

Depends on VIN and actual manufacture date also for this TSB:

APPLIED DATE: Built before August 28, 2006

edit: oh nevermind, you meant if still under basic warranty. Probly not.

 

Pretty sure 2005's used to be.. Found this TSB after MY warranty was over. FACK..!!

 

I never got the tear but I did have the cushion for that seat replaced under warranty twice. If you find a good upholstery shop, you can get that piece repaired for under $100 if it's on the lower vinyl section of the seat cover.

 

mine is a 2005 with a tear on the left side of the driver seat near the plastic area. i might have to take it to an unholstery shop to get it fixed. i dont want the tear to get worse.

anyone know if any of those leather repair kits/tears/tapes will prevent it from tearing more? it doesn't look like the tear is getting worse, just looks like the cushion sank in a little and then pulled on the leather part that is connected to the plastic on the left side of the driver's seat and ripped it.

just curious guys as to were the seats tear.. i have an 04 coupe and the corner in the leather wraps around into the plastic cover on the side of the seat has tore away. is this the tear in the seats you guys are complaining about?
