Daily driving

What do you guys thinking about daily driving the G?

For example:

Pro: looks great, comfortable, good power, smooth, nice sound sytem

Cons: gas killer, too much torque around local turns, inconveniant audio controls, too low (speedbumps, curbs)

Things like that. What are the goods/bads about driving the G normally?

Don't understand the question. What else would I use it for?

Um,,.. I don't want people to write how fast it is, and use that as a reason. I am talking about the options, and luxury features of the car, not of its performance (because thats easy to find). 14 seconds quarter mile is great, but I already know it does 14s.

Do you always like to power slide out of every single turn? even out of your driveway? If thats your driving style then thats great, but sometimes its not good. I just want to know what are the ups/downs of driving the G35.

I used to do power slide out my home into school out of parking lot till i got 2 tickets for it. I think the main down side for me is im putting too much miles on this G and also going to downtown tighter areas makes me worry about dings keys while parking way too much. and also 5 hours traffic jam right outside of NYC with 6 mt is a BI**H. So if u have a beater that would be great....

Very few Gs have run a 14s. Most commonly it's mid to high 14s.

As far as the G as a daily driver, the hardest part is getting used to it if, say, you're coming from a not-so-sporty 4 door FWD. The G does have its inconveniences, especially when you're tired you do miss a little more comfort. From people who have the 6MT I hear that it's not easy to drive and that shifting/clutching involves a lot of concentration. There are some other minor things like no inside gas cover release (hate fingerprints on the paint) and how slow the seats are to go all the way forward to let someone in the back, but that's just nitpicking. Believe me, once you're in the driver seat and step on the gas, it will all be worth it.

Bad : Brake dust. Paint chips. Your car sits in the sun and cooks for X hours. Higher risk of door dings. Higher risk of vandalism. Many miles on your nice car. Gas (if your daily is a economy I4 or something). Might not want to drive 6MT all the time (if you get MT).

As for power around corners.. I don't know where u came to that conclusion. Just don't drive past what you know you can handle. I mean .. You can just drive a little slower and the car will feel exactly like an LS430 around corners.

Pros: You're driving a nice car. Duh. All the fun that comes with that.

I'd get a 5AT if I was gonna do daily driving with it. Probably get a sedan too
and aero kit, lowering springs, and those Eneki wheels one guy had here. RP05 or
watever....looked very good.
