Any clue what's wrong with my suspension?
I've been told it's my toe alignment and/or bad compression rod bushings.
thoughts? It's also only happening on the front driver side tire. This is the inner shoulder. It doesn't even go all the way around. just sporadic. passenger side tire's fine.

If i recall correctly, I didn't feel any vibrations until i was going over the san mateo bridge and hit a bump or something... could be toe...
I rolled over one of these things and at the time, my tire pressure was relatively low. felt a big bump and thats when the vibrations started

Same thing is happening to me. I replaced my tires last week thinking it would make the terrible rumbling sound go away but to no avail. It's almost like my rim may be bent. I really don't know. Let us know what you find.
One thing is obvious you need to find an independent brake/alignment shop in your area and find out if something isn't broken or severely worn out. Notice I didn't mention the stealership, there's a reason and a lot of them! $$$$

I have seen that before customer came in w that issue on the rear tires. I immediatley asked him if he had a shop or if he bought the tires. He said he bought them from online turns out his tire size was a lil too big and didnt use the directed size in the door jam rear tire were rubbing on the shocks hope that helps u
You know, I think I noticed something similar on both of my front tires when I had them off to get at the headlamps.. The current tires are Yokohama S-Drives, have just over 30K miles on them, and it's the stock 17" rims. Replaced the rears about 4K miles ago (they were fried for a couple months before I got tired of having tires I could beat to hell because I knew they were already useless in rain and needed replacing).
I'll see if I can get a pic without taking them off. Or at least take a look and see if the wear is similar. But from what I remember, the wear was uniform between both passenger and driver side, and it was pretty much consistent around the circumference of the inside shoulder.. I'm riding on them as long as I can before I replace them, then it's straight to the alignment shop!

The picture makes me think you have a bad tire. That ridge on the inside edge doesn't appear to be wear related, so maybe when you hit that joint it shifted the steel belts in the tire. The Federal SS 595s also have steel belts in the sidewall so maybe the jolt knocked belts loose or disfigured them.
