i heard alot of bad and good things about the aftermarket intake my dad planing on modding his z i heard the injen is doing really good i just seen a dyno for the hr and it did 16.5whp but thats the hr he has the de has anyone dyno'd it before right now he is running the z tube and rev up air box with k&n filter or is the nismo intake any good ive searched and i keep getting bad and good reviews lol thnx for the help

 

I have a Injen CAI myself and like it. Keep in mind I have nothing else to compare it to but it's defintately faster and LOUDER then the stock set-up that was in there before. When I floor it, it screams!!!! Haven't Dyno'ed it so I can't give you true numbers but again, WAY better than the stock system in terms of looks, growl, and hp from what I can tell.

 

I've read that you're most likely to lose or not gain any HP going to a CAI.

 

intake doesnt really give you that much HP.

This has been covered many times and it only gives you about 1HP, not much difference.
Aftermarket intakes just give us that deep growl in our VQ engines

 

 

so if my dad where to get 1 he wouldnt lose any power ?? i also heard if your going over 270whp the stock box isnt good anymore he'll will be there really soon that why im asking about an intake too lol

 

If your car is stock, the CAI will be a noise maker & that's about it...
BUT it does unclutter under the hood...
