i got my vin number back in nov... like nov 21st, my dealer also said ship will hit port on the 20th of dec then home sweet home... but then i talked to him today and he that he said wasnt sure if my car will be on the first ship thats supposed to be here on the 20th dec... kinda pissed, wont find out for sure till monday cuz the real guy with info is on vacation.
why does this have to happen to me o why!!!

 

I think this is somewhat true. My dealership told me that they didn't have the VIN# for my car yet, but they do have a VIN# for another 6MT that they had ordered. I was like, OK, good news I guess, that they are getting some VINS in, mine should be just around the corner then. I said this all in my head of course. BTW, I'm here in North Cali. I think the 6MTs should be at the LA port either this weekend or the middle of next week. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Well guys...the legal release date issued by infiniti is Dec 28th. THATS when the cars will start to be distributed which can take 2 to 4 weeks depedning on dealer location. Infiniti tells dealers to tell you that it can be up to early february just so that they can play it safe. However, if you call your dealer, most likely thier answers will be retarded because they themselves don't even know when exactly thier inventory will arrive...they are almost as clueless as some of us.

 

Ordered my Athens Blue 6mt 3 weeks ago here in Oregon, was told it would be here in March. Since there is only 1 dealer here they will not deal on them, plus they want to add the $1000 NW protection package, I talked them out of that, but now I think I'll have them do the clear bra and window tint.

 

I'm surprised if any dealer right about now will negotiate...back in the day when it first came out, my friend paid MSRP and so did everyone he knows just because there was no negotiating on that car back then. Those bastards...and the sad thing is, there will always be people who will not have a problem paying full price who mess things up for others.

 

First post, looking around the forum my story is the same.

05 6MT DG aero/prem was "supposed" to be here Dec. 15th... then before X-Mas, then before the 1st. Now I'm told Jan 14th (which I think is an uneducated guess by the jacka$$ at infiniti.) Being that this car has to be in possesion in 2004, the next route is perhaps an 04? What are people paying for these (So. Cal)? Also, can anyone confirm SCAA membership qualifies one for VPP discount? Thanks!

 

Well, January 14th is what I got from the distribution specialist at the corporation (who happens to me my friend)...I don't want to wait damnit! But if it meant 04 or 05, I'd wait...cause time flys when other people just like you are waiting too...it helps =). We all go through it together and we all get our cars together...hopefully there will be some sort of SoCAL meet next year right after we gettem!
