ok, well i used TEH GOOGLE and only found 1 pic of a DG/BS with black side mirrors. i've been thinkin about maybe doing my mirrors/bases gloss black. my nismo vents black, roof black, and i have black tails. but NOT black wheels.

dunno tho, i'm wanting to stay clean....maybe just get my bases DG?

i dunno if the black mirrors and bases alone with black tails would look ok...

found mention in a thread on another forum about a photoshop for a DG with black roof, mirrors, pillars...but couldn't find the actual pics.

i think the black mirrors would look awesome from the side, but just wonder how they would look in a 3/4 view, or from the front....

IMO I wouldn't think it would look good. The mirrors poke out too much and would be an eyesore. I might retract my statement if I saw a pic though

When you consider how sleek the body lines of the G35 are and you start adding different colors interrupting the flow, it doesn't work. It's better to stick with one color and work on stance/wheel fitment....

Like this...here the mirror flattens out visually and cleans up the lines of the car...BUT from another view it might look goofy.

I dunno, some days I feel like I wanna step towards a more aggressive look, others I wanna go for a more super clean oem style.

Maybe I will play around in photoshop some tomorrow.

Either way the next big expenditure/project is exhaust. I'm pretty much where I'm gonna be height wise. Wheels are a whooooooole different story. I really like my oem rays, but I'm also liking about 15 other wheels too.

I like everything but the hood. The black mirrors don't look bad. Maybe it's bc there is so much else taking the focus off of them? I dunno

Consider how much better this coupe....^....would look if all those body pannels were painted body color. Left black it appears the car is sitting 12" off the ground, painted it would look more like 4". Veilside winglets....

There is a reason the base models of some cars have black mirrors, and then the options packages have them painted.

Like Gary said, the flow of the car is affected. I understand the thought behind your question, but I don't think it'll look better than painted.

Wish I could find a front shot of it. When the black glass is behind it, I think it makes them disappear. But from the front, they might look goofy.

I KNOW!!! I WILL PLASTIDIP THEM!!!!!

I keed. I KEED.
