Car "creaks" going over speedbumps...

Sup all...

As far as suspension mods, I've got Tein S-Techs and Hotchkis Sway bars.

Today, i noticed as i went over some speed bumps, the front right side of my G was "creaking"

Immediately, i thought the shocks went out, but the car isn't bouncing up front (or in the back)

So wondering what it could be? Is it in fact the front right shock that's gone out already? Or is it the S-Techs? (Had those on for 2000 miles) Or is it the Sway bars?

Anyone else have "creaking" "squeaking" noises coming from these mods?

could be because its getting colder. a lot of cars emit their squeaks/creaks during cold weather. my previous car's sunroof would squeak/rattle during winter then go away during summer.

i was getting the same creaks in my sunroof when i back out of my driveway in the morning - i have a pretty large curb. after re-oiling the seals, it went away.

I think you didn't lube your swaybar bushings enough.

Use lithium grease inside and outside the rubber bushing.

Actually, front end creaking is a common problem in the G. Here is the TSB link for the Sedan. I'm almost positive there is one for the coupe as well.:

As far as I know, this is not a serious problem. Its just annoying to hear the creaking. Good luck.

its the sway bars, mine creaks over speed bumps too. I jacked the car up yesterday and press against the sway bar and it squeaked. Just take it out and lube it

Yeh, coat that bushing real good inside and out. Its a pita to remove that bottom engine cover each time.

See the current thread in the sedans forum re. sways. The Hotckis do not have collars that keep the bar from moving to one side. Grease is also a problem but you everyone wiht the Hotchkis consider looking at your bar's position and putting on the collars we found even if everything sounds ok
