Advice please

updates!

fully up to date with maintenance. time for mods

my priority for mods is to not make it a race car but to just make it a better daily driver and better looking

2003 g35 coupe silver
5AT

1 -- start with stillen ztube and popcharger?
the reason i want to do that is that after searching around here i feel like its the loudest intake? (other than no intake like someone said) i am just a bit confused as to if the oem ztube is better than the stillen or is it just for looks?

2 -- grounding kit from SxExCx

3 -- clear corners (still having trouble understanding what the bump/non bump ones are) and what would look good on my car

4 -- possibly a spoiler?

5 -- interior led lights

6 -- and from searching, i have concluded that just replacing the hfc's, i'll get a louder STOCK note. i love the stock note but just want it a bit louder. can somebody confirm?

7 -- tint all around. suggestions on percentage/color? live in ca so got to be careful to not get too much

8 -- ipod integration?

9 -- any other suggestions? i am really not into lowering and i am still trying to get used to not scraping especially on speed bumps

1. pop charger and any brand z tube will work for noise gains
2. Not worth it
3. bump style refers to a literal bump on the clear corner. I like flat/regular clear corners better but that's my opinion.
4. That's your call
5. buy from vendor on site. I bought from ebay and was satisfied and it was 10x cheaper. Again, your call.
6. HFC will give you a louder stock note. I would reccommend Berks
7. check what is legal in your state. If you don't care, go with whatever you like best. I have 20% and I think it's perfect.
8. good idea. I want to do this too.
9. plenum spacer by motordyne.

Grounding kit was definitely worth it on my 5AT. Lot less lag when using manual mode.

I meant for his case it's not worth it.

Since the majority of your questions are opinion based, browse the "stickied" threads and sub-forums/media section to get an idea of what you like. HFCs will give you a louder exhaust note.

You said your not wanting to race so why would you need it? It does improve lag but for a daily driver, who cares? Yes, it's for manumatic mode.

First mods, you need to read the sticky at the top before making a thread on the same subject! Useful mods for an 5AT are MotorDynes 5/16" spacer which corrects Nissan's plenum flaw. Intake....sound without loss of power get Stillen's CAI/Z-Tube combo. Both of these will give you a few more HP and a sound you'll love...now read the sticky!

If you are doing any performance mods get a tune...the mods will work better that way.

Maybe i should have phrased it differently. are the shifts smoother with the grounding kit? in automatic mode. I feel like it doesn't really have the best shifts. I just got new fluid in there which has improved shifts but i want to pretty much minimize the "shift" feeling.

Hmm I'm actually not sure what it does in automatic mode. My bet is that you wouldn't notice anything. My car shifts smooth in automatic so maybe you have something else going on.
