1) Just got the Z-tube/pop charger installed. Lovin it!! Anyways I was just wondering what the rubber piece on the pop charger shield is for? (the piece that covers the wolf technologies logo). Would it be bad to remove this? Mine is all bent up and I think it would look a lot cleaner if it was removed, also you would be able to see the logo.

2) Might be a very very stupid question but I have an 04, I've seen some of you with 2004.5's. Does it actually say that on your ownership and whatnot? or was there actually some changes that would denote this change.

I have a rubber piece on top of my popcharger too. On mine it looks like it was there to seal up against the hood, and to stop it from rubbing on the hood.
There are only cosmetic/minor diffs from the '04 to the '04.5 coupes and they would all be id'd as '04's.

The 04.5s are ULEV-2, and the 04s are not.

You have an 04.5 if the last 6 digits of your VIN are > 800001.

 

Sorrry don't have the answer. I think mine was built in Feb/04. (It's stored away from home so I can't check but I would be curious to know where it stands and what the subtle differences are too.

 

mine are XXXXXXXXXXX818609. So does this mean forsure that I have an 04.5?

Also what is ULEV-2?
