How many miles do g35s tend to get before there's major issues like transmission
When did you buy your G, and how many miles does it have on it? If you bought an 03' with 100+K and it never had the tranny fluid changed, YOU MIGHT BE SOL. Just saying. Peeps on this site are buying wrecked cars with high mileage and even the sport brakes at $80 seem to not be an option. Those folks are much better off buying a Civic, and then buying another Civic when the one you're driving breaks down.
quick question, is it a good idea to change the tranny fluid at 105k if it has never been changed before?

Nissan recommends drain/replace trans fluids every 30K miles. If you haven't changed it in 100K miles this might be a good time for a flush where they drain/replace twice to make sure all the fluid are fresh. Our ATs are strong, I haven't heard of any negative issues....Gary
These cars are very reliable despite the oil consumption problems with specific models. The transmissions are very strong because they're the same as the m45 however, I highly recommend changing the fluid no matter what. The only faults I can find with these cars is that the brakes wear out very quickly. I recently looked into trading my car in for an Acura TL but after a few minutes on the Acurazine forum I heard about many faults (much more than our cars which was surprising). I would think it's safe to say that these cars have a long lifespan and can commonly go over 200k miles.
