So tell me about exhaust systems

Hey y'all,

Not very active on here, but I'd like some input. I'm looking to buy an exhaust for my 07 Coupe. I'm a college student so I would like it not to completely break the bank either if that's possible.

I'm looking for something that doesnt sound too ricey, adds a bit of noise, and maybe even a bit of power. Maybe something that even compliments my Nismo CAI? I dunno

Budget is $500-$1000ish.

Throw out a few brands and help me start my search?

Thanks

And yes, I saw the exhaust thread. IT's just a bit overwhelming and figured if I made my own post people could suggest exhausts more in my budget

With your budget consider the main restriction in our exhaust systems is the OE cats. Buying MotorDynes ART pipes will free up your system and add over half dozen HP which you can really feel....Gary

Get a Stillen true dual exhaust. It's stainless steal produces 16 hp and sounds great. Stillen,

+1. Unfortunatley no exhaust system alone for our cars makes 16whp. Maybe if you're already turbo/supercharged....otherwise you're realistically looking at probably about 5-10whp tops.

True........you can't believe manufactures or articles in mags either. Last year one mag claimed 5 RWHP gains from HFCs and 35 RWHP from an intake. Makes you wonder if they read what the print. Only one manufacture I'd believe, Tony at MotorDyne he's always been honest and straight with us....Gary
