keyless entry battery life is horrific
I did a search to no avail, and maybe its a brain dead question/issue. I replaced the battery multiple times in the past few months, the latest of which was last saturday. aaand now it's dead. I honestly probably only used it 20 times at most in the past week.

It's the Keyfob. I just ran into this problem thinking it was the battery but really it's a loose connection between the battery and where it sits inside the Keyfob. eBay sales keyfobs. That's where I will buy mine soon. I jus wonder how much Nissan will charge me to program it :-(

Me too... never replaced the battery in either of my key fobs and both are original from 2004. I use the same key fob almost all the time while the other sits in the house as a spare. Now that I mentioned it, watch them both die on me tonight.

There's a crevice in the middle of the remote, pop it open with a small flathead screwdriver, the battery pops straight out. Go to CVS and buy a Duracell battery and replace it, pop it on, slowly close the remote, you're done.

I've been having some issues with my remote for the past few months, it would take many attempts to unlock the door. I replaced the remote battery and it didn't do anything.
Just last Friday, my car didn't start up and I had to replace my car battery. After I replaced the battery , my remote no longer have any issues and responds perfectly. So it could be your car battery... our cars are getting old, especially if you are still on the OEM battery.

Thanks for that info. All call and get some prices from people. I'm Saleing my Nissan intelligent Keyfob and using that money to buy another Infiniti KeyFob. I wonder if the locksmith can make the uncut key work with my car too? I'm sure for extra money. Man I hope it's not crazy amount more to program and cut the key for me

Just as a follow up, i got my new key fob in the mail today and programmed it myself with the included instructions in about 2 minutes. It was about as simple as possible and works awesomely. so no need to worry about getting it programmed for money. i got it from this guy: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-NISSAN-4...#ht_576wt_1270
