245/40....

Hey guys,

Can i run 245/40 all around on oem rays, without throwing anything off? and will it look right? any one have pics?

I'm interested in knowing this as well. I'd love to be able to properly rotate my tires.

woll i dont think i would rotate cuz oem rays are Front: 19"x8" Rear: 19"x8.5" .. but dont quote me on that...

nope. Wheel size itself is staggered so you can't rotate. people have done it without causing problems but i wouldn't take the chance

You're fine running those sizes. Some people disagree because using a taller tire in the front will shift the balance of the car to the rear and raise the front of the car ~1/4" while also changing the circumference of the front wheel, which will affect the performance, but it's so minute.

245/40 is actually a thinner sidewall than the stock 225/45 so it wont raise the car or trip any sensors.... As far as rotating them though another member said it can be done without tripping any sensors either so i guess that parts optional.

Lolwat. Never said anything about tripping sensors. Sensors have nothing to do with this question since he's running a square set up all around. Sensors only become an issue when you're running staggered sizes and the difference between them is 3% or more.

Edit: You're right about it being .3" shorter. Sensors are still out of the question.
