How hard to fix?
So I'm looking to purchase a G35 coupe and the only issue the seller said that the vehicle had was in the control arm bushing. Well, that's what he thinks it is. It's an 04 with the sports package and it has around 100,000 miles. He told me that you can only notice it when you hit a big bump or pothole. He says when you do it makes a (thud, thud, thud) sound? I know that's not too much information, but if anyone has any info on what it could be for sure or how hard or much it is to fix, it would be much appreciated.
In my experiences with used vehicles, it's never the "ONLY" thing that needs to be done, have it inspected by a trusted shop before you commit, cover yourself, it's buyer beware, and if you buy it, and it has a busted something, or other, you're stuck because it's as-is
Buying any car with 100K miles on the clock is scary unless it's been maintained at a very high level, service records are a major plus. Having a trusted Nissan mechanic check out the car before giving up the $$ is the best advice we can give you....Gary
Id be leary of a guys maintenance habits if he drives around with a broken car. If its no big deal why didn't he fix it. RED FLAG

If he doesn't keep any service records of receipts then that'd be the closer for me.
I just talked to him again. The car has been well taken care of I can tell. The guy is very meticulous with it. With that being said, I just talked to him on the phone and he told me he took it to his mechanic and it ended up being the strut plate. Is that the same as a strut mount? What do you guys recommend to do with an issue like this?
