Will you fly out of town to buy a G?
I haven't...But I strongly considered it, before I decided to just order one...Orig I was looking to buy used until I noticed that the price between new and used was not nearly enough to go through the hassle of looking for a well maintained used car with low miles...But if you see something out there you like, and you find it feasible to drive the car back, then I see no reason why you can't fly out to buy your baby...You can have it serviced at any Infiniti dealership so once you bring her home. you'll be fine...Gluck
I did. I knew exactly what I wanted and went to the only dealer here in town/ state. They told they didn't have any 6MT coupes or any coming anytime soon. The only MT they had was a sedan. So, I went online and started call all the dealerships in El Paso, the Denver area and the Phoenix area. You’d be amazed how hard it is to find a MT coupe. I only found one out of the 7 or 8 dealerships across 4 states. It was at Infiniti of Scottsdale and luckily it was exactly what I was looking for. I had USAA work the deal and then I bought a 1 way ticket to Phoenix and drove her back. The rest is history.
I wanted a '04 Caribbean Blue 6MT and by the time I got around to making the purchase, there were only around 5 new ones left in the country in early November. I live in Florida and got mine from a dealer near Baltimore and drove the back roads back home.
I almost flew to Grubbs to drive my G back to Washington State. Only reason I didn't, because it was January, and didn't want to drive my new coupe (wearing summer rubber) through the rockies in the middle of winter. I had it shipped, which was the same price as an airline ticket+gas etc. If it was the summer, I would've done it for sure.

I'd be scared of buying an used car from some of the posters here
Tickets for going over 100. All the racing and modding. Doesn't seem like many of them are carefully driven.
I've tried to be careful, but that is because I plan on keeping mine for long enough that hard driving would come back to haunt me. And there are still a few things I'll have to have taken care of, like a scratch in the paint, and the wheel is scratched from a curb.

Hey, DELOCK
I just got my coupe out of town just a couple of days ago. I flew out to Dallas and then drove home to New Orleans. Wow it was NICE! Make sure you get the dealer to put everything in writing and personally talk to the sales manager for confirmation. Ask for the car's VIN number and make sure you can find it on the Infiniti website. I had a dealer lied to me about a coupe and eventually I found out that the car did not have the premium package. I saved about $1000 for buying the car in Dallas compared to New Orleans. Good luck!

I was looking for a coupe in So-cal and the best I could do was $500 off MSRP. Grubbs offered VPP pricing on coupes so I called and found out that Grubbs would save me $2300. I went to the sales manager at my local dealership and showed him the quote...lets say he just laughed and said that there was no way he could match. The car was delivered in a week and I've loved her since.
