Motordyne TDX2. Fitment Issues. Can't Clamp.

Didn't want to post in the Exhaust section since less people frequently check over there.

I looked at other fitment issue problem everybody seem to have problem with the passenger side sway bar being touched.

For me the passenger side i connected the mid pipe with the muffler and there is a big gap between the mid pipe and the extender/resonator, so i couldnt clamp it together cause of the gap. I moved/rotate many times for the mid pipe for it try to connect and yet it still leave a gap.

I spoke to Tony@motordyne already, he said the mid pipe arm should be turn until the mid pipe is farthest out from the sway bar. I did that, but there is a big gap still and the pipe still wouldnt be connected

Pictures would help. Maybe you have components from the 350z. How big is the gap?

I had to go through the same issue when I installed my TDX2. Try this, clamp everything down loosely. After that, everything is going to sit funny, but then you can adjust it for fitment. You are probably going to need a friend to help hold the pipes in place while you secure the V-band clamps. Everything is a really tight fit and once you get it in the correct position, you will know. Post up some pictures. If you are still having trouble with it this week, I might be able to come help you out. I'm in the Woodlands area for awhile so just lmk.

Edit: Just reread the OP, how big is this gap? Do you have the G35 extensions bolted onto the TDX2 resonator module?

this tdx2 was pulled off an 05 g35 coupe 6mt. He had no fitment issues. Mine is an 06 coupe 6mt. My car right now is near the cypress area and couldn't drive it since exhaust is hanging down touching the ground. I'm gonna try to take your advise and loosen the clamps but I doubt it becusse its an inch gap.

Well I'm not trying to be an *** but just take it to a shop and get it installed? I mean it came off another G, one that didnt have fitment problems, so to be honest, it just sounds like your installation issue. Take it somewhere and just get it done.

Shop is booked and busy for today. The other G also did a self install and had problems with the passenger side as well but it wasnt as bad as mine.

An inch gap, you should have enough wiggle room to cover that. Loosen everything up and move the pieces back to cover the gap. And look up install post with pictures so you get an idean where everything should line up.

Omg.... Lol. Nice one. We should cruise one day. I'd love to hear the TDX 2 on your test pipes vs my ART pipes. I saw a video on YouTube of a HR Z running FI test pipes on the TDX 2, sounded ferocious. Lmk man!

There is a meet & greet coming up in August for strictly g's.
Come out Sean! You can hear it from there

It sounds pretty nice with test pipes, im loving it so far. I would also love to hear your TDX with Art pipes. Never heard it in person before and video doesnt do justice.

I just saw the post for the August 4th dyno day. I'll be there. Is that what you're referring to? What brand of TPs are you running?
