At least you didn't have what i had when i removed mine.....it was obvious that the previous owner had also tried to remove the badges but then realized that they had defects around the lettering too and painted back over the glue instead of removing it and cleaning it up...

Orange peel is standard for a factory paint job. A lambo has orange peel.

It's also possible that halo of oxidation is just wax builtup that needs to buffed off.

Nah, I'll just get this repaired. I'm saving for some coil overs and wheels and tires.

I've seen a lot of our cars debadged and never anything like this from adhesive. Is it possible the previous owner or dealership put the letters back on with glue? I've seen one other members car where the letters were glued on and needed to be repainted....Gary

Step 3 very carefully rub glue with goo gone till all residue is gone will take about an hour to do the whole trunk.
What this guy said. I just took a blowdryer and held it over the badges for about 5 minutes, took the letters off with floss and rubbed the goo gone on the spots and it looked perfect.

Doesn't need to be repainted! Try goo gone. If not that have a detailed take it off with a wax and buff...I have commercial wax and a commercial buffer and it came off perfectly
