Seriously though man are you retarted?? Did you not see everybody else's coments about how fvcked up it is and actually look at the pictures showing that there are actually dent INTO the paint and not just over them....the intelligence level on driver has drastically fallen
People are seriously not understanding this.
This is severe paint damage. That is an abrasion down through the clear coat.
When I took my Fuji emblem off, like I said, I had the same issue. It wasn't something that could be buffed out. The paint was eaten through the clear, and right down to the factory primer.
In hindsight, even though getting it repainted will be a headache, I'm glad I discovered it before it got worse, and turned into rust.

Now that the only two badges on the back are the "350 GT" badge and a "nismo" sticker, having no badges in the middle is kind of growing on me.
I've always thought the rear end of the G coupe was a little too big to be completely de-badged. It just looks empty.
It really just depends on the individual car and how lucky/unlucky you are. There have been plenty of people who have debadged their older cars with no problems and then there have been some who have had problems. Just like most things with cars YMMV.
Sorry to see this. My rule of thumb is if the car is more than about 5 years old I dont try to de badge it, because of either the adhesive really setting in like this, or just paint dis coloration. I am still sad to see this though and there is no way as a detailer I could get this out. I would NEVER TOUCH IT. Therefore it must be repainted.
Debadging a car more than 5 years old isn't necessarily a bad idea. As long as it isn't a bright color that's prone to fade like red or yellow, you should be fine.
That 3M double-sided tape they use is rated at 7-8 years on an exterior anyway. So after 5 or 6 years, the adhesives have started to break down, and would probably actually be easier to remove than badges on a car that are 2 or three years old.
Like I said earlier in the thread, I debadged a 2002 and a 2003 Maxima with zero issues. Granted, both were white, so there was also no issue with paint fade.

If I was you, i'd remove the fuji regardless of whether you want to keep it or not so that they can fix the corrosion around that emblem as well. You can always stick it back on but if it's anywhere nearly as bad as the INFINITI, that's how rust will start.
