Scratch on car.... What to do?

So this morning while I was backing out my driveway I thought I had enough room to reverse out with my mom car next to my car, suddenly I heard a noise coming from my passenger side so I got out my car and walk to the passender side and there I saw that!

Is there any way to fix this besides painting the whole thing? The scratch doesn't look that big but the picture just makes it look like it is. Also the scratch isnt that deep. I would appreciate any advice.

doesn't look like it's through the clear. try some cleaner wax. don't put a buffer on it, or heavy compounds. it's on a corner and you may break through with either. buff it by hand and if it doesn't work, a prof. detailer may be able to help.

The damage doesn't look too bad so I don't think a respray would be necessary. Probably could be buffed out.

I'm a professional detailer. You can likely remove about 80% of that through buffing. I would first search on Autopia's directory to see if there's any reputable detailers listed in your area, as most are downright terrible.

The safest way to take care of the scratch is to use Meguiar's Ultimate Compound by hand with a foam applicator pad. It will take a while, and you'll probably need to buff it for about 10 minutes or so using medium-heavy pressure. Follow up with Scratch-X and a foam applicator pad to remove any marring caused by the first step. You will likely only be able to remove about 60-80% of it, so once you notice it stop improving after a while, stop buffing.

That could definitely be buffed out.

I'd begin buy buying 3M Scratch Remover and see if I couldn't remove those scratches before I called on a detailer. If you owned a orbital buffer you'll rarely if ever need a detailer....Gary

Hand polish with some Meguiar's Ultimate compound, and throw some wax on that, and it should be nearly gone.
