Arashi, you should just stop posting in this thread, you're just pissing people off and doing FugazziCars more harm than good here. I think there are a couple of members thinking that YOU are the one building that car, which you're not.

Because you have a closed mind. For someone to express their taste in car design you have set rules for them because your conditioned that cars should be an original company set. Maybe this plays into the status of cars too, if someone was to "cheat" and have a fast expensive looking car without being rich or grueling in the rat race, perhaps you'd feel cheated inside so much that you have to express your disgust so much in this thread.
Its not because kit cars are all ugly, because some are nice, its because you're brought up thinking this way. Unless their is a deeper explanation please tell us what you think the root of your problem with kit cars is, not just replicas, but changing an exterior to another design and driving it around town.

What do you mean what authority to use fast car design cues? lolololol.
Just because some robber barons make these fast looking cars with slow engines in their factories doesnt mean I cant rebody slow cars with the same kind of design cues. No authority or person can say they are more legit just because they have mass money to use fast looking designs.

As a poor example its like saying people shouldnt design custom fast looking computer cases because only big companies like HP and Compaq should make them as they have lots of money and mega factories. See how silly you sound.

I noticed today that it has elements of the Lotus concepts... but you can keep to your factory design forms like a Geo Metro and feel comfortable that no one like your self is going to laugh at you for having a kit car... kind of like how a little boy keeps to his comfy blanket to go to sleep at night.

That's right - YOU would take that car over a stock G35. YOU would. YOU want. YOU do.
The rest of us however.... DO NOT.

Have fun making cars for yourself the rest of your life. Not the way to make money... lol

Again... such potential... yet such an *******. Takes one to know one, and you just met the biggest one on the forum!
Ive noticed new kit forum members encouraging the build, and inquiring about the kit, no doubt they wouldnt speak up in their home forum because of the backlash from close minded members and all around fan boys of their beloved Infiniti's.

Thanks for reminding them who the builder is and no I dont think Im doing him harm by defending kit cars and pointing out peoples misconceptions of who has the right to design cars.

I have no association with him, we are only members of the same forum.

Lastly this is my thread, it was meant to gather design ideas and that finished in the first early pages and turned into debate about kit cars.
Start another G35 conversion kit thread for all I care.

Its probably a bunch of teenagers who don't know any better and still trying to find a G35 for under $10K. You say we're close minded but most car enthusiasts can tell the difference between a super car and an abomination.

I checked on that thread again yesterday and the only thing done to that car that I like is the chopped roof. I still have yet to see any serious plans regarding the engine and drivetrain. So as of now its going to be a G35 that looks like an ugly exotic, has an increased curb weight of 100lbs or so, still having only 300hp at the crank, and is now slower then V6 Mustangs. And you don't understand why some of us don't support this build???

The problem is that some of the "concepts" that are posted actually look interesting... Unfortunately the designs posted here are sub-par and look like they were made in MS paint. Not saying that I can do any better on a computer, as some people are more skilled than others at that stuff. But I was not impressed.

Found this one over on another forum and it reminded me to come back and check this thread lol.
