How much are West Coast ppl getting thier 6mts???

K guys, as you all know I have recenlty purchased my 6MT and had to pay MSRP (or walk out empty handed). Its all said and done now, but some people got me thinking on this and I was only curious and nothing more about what Southern Cali people or California people in general are paying? East Coast people please don't post because I know the prices out there are much more flexible (but post if you paid sticker too). I just feel like I may have gotten jipped although I don't mind paying full price because it's alot of car for what I get and compared to the other cars I was looking at (330Ci & M3), the G35 has alot of standard features you have to pay for on a BMW...

Anyone wanna make me feel better for what I paid on the west coast?

I also have a theory that in snowy areas the car is cheaper because of the nightmare it is to handle on the roads during the winter which would explain why Cali would be a hot spot for the G...anyone else validate this?

i'm paying about $1300 below msrp with free accessories thrown in for an 05 6mt coupe with nav/prem. most dealers in my area (s.f. bay area) were not willing to negotiate. however, i called around and found one that was willing to negotiate after i showed them grubbs infiniti freshalloy member pricing.

i understand that it is very difficult to haggle the prices down in socal. however, in my opinion, i would NEVER pay msrp at this point for a coupe....that's just me though. but it's all good. if you tried haggling and didn't succeed, perhaps 6mt coupes in your area are in higher demand.

Thanks guys...yea general consensus is that SoCal and only SoCal has dealers with thier heads so far up thier a$$es that they are willing to give me "good bye" rather than "good buy".

I e-mailed several dealers just to see if they would give me a price quote and several offered $500 off MSRP right from the start. This is for a 6MT with premium/NAV/splash guards/trunk mat. I'm sure you could have gotten a better price than MSRP especially after thinking you were going to get it for VPP. I can't believe no dealer would move a penny for you. However, you do have one of the first 2005 6MTs, so that has to be worth something. People who are willing to wait a month or two might get the car for less, but in that time, you get to drive your 6MT around. So there's a trade off, buy now or buy later and save. BTW, your car looks superb and the thought of paying MSRP has crossed my mind if that is the only way to get a 6MT NOW. Peace!

Doesn't get any better up the coast either. The only dealer in Oregon expects its customers to pay a $1500 premium over MSRP for the "northwest protection package" (undercoating and carpet/leather sealant) whether you want it or not. I'm driving 200+ miles north in to Washington to get a "discount" down to MSRP...

Yea well most were willing to give me $200 off, but I had to finance for a minimum of 3 months before paying cash, in which case they would have gotten $600 off of interest alone in those 3 months...

If you are going to finance I recommend that you haggle your way down to something reasonable. My mistake was I told them i am paying cash from the start...damnit I just realized my mistake now...oh well, atleas I won't end up paying a couple thousand more due to interest.

So if you pay cash at MSRP you ARE still getting a better deal than dropping 500-2000 off sticker AND financing.

The rate they were giving me, I would have ended up paying $7,000 in interest alone when done!!! And sorry guys, but the G35 is not worth $50,000 to me.

msrp was lowest possible in Wa, only 2 dealers, and they're both owned by the same person/people. I forgot, they gave me 200 off since I inquired over the net...

Has anyone from SoCal tried dealerships in Vegas? I'd be willing to drive up there if I would get a better deal than around LA.

for those who can only get msrp in their area, USE THE GRUBBS INFINITI FRESHALLOY OFFER!!!!! for freshalloy forum members, you get basically VPP pricing. this equates to about $2500 off msrp. you then have to add in the shipping charges (unless you go pick the car up yourself) which costs $800 and you're still at about $1500 or so off msrp. the only hook is that you have to join the membership ($50) and confirmation fee ($50). many ppl have utilized this offer and NO ONE has had any problems.

I would think that since vegas attracts high rollers and people with money too loose, that would be a prime spot for sticker price and on top of that its west coast...but you never know.

Wellz Gee Im Fast.....the way I look at it, its a HOT car and just enjoy what you got and try not to feel guilty about it. At least you got a 6MT already while others have to wait still, me for example. I know that you want to feel better with the price you paid for it, but hey, why would it matter? the G is a nice a$$ car, so you know its worth MSRP or even a lil more then that. Its just that HOT. I would just sit back and enjoy the ride as they all say.

As for me, I'm getting it VPP at a bay area dealership, which is around 100 miles away from me. I actually know of two dealerships up here that are taking VPP for sure. Yeah it sux to be in so cal when it comes to the G, but hey, I rather be in so cal then anywhere else in the US. wellz, nor cal is nice too..hehe. Anyways, if I had to pay MSRP, that would of changed a lot of things for me. I won't of gotten the NAVI or the AERO KIT. Just the PREM, and thats it due to the fact that I'm not ready to get a over 40K car, my next car yeah but not right now. But since I'm getting it VPP, why not get it fully loaded minus the SAT radios and front chin spoiler, which I rather get at a later then then paying 400 bux for it from the factory. Yeah I mean factory, not dealership. Anyways, I'm getting my car for approx $36,000 or a lil lower then that. I think VPP is the lowest you could get w/o the dealer losing that much money for it. So hey I got a good deal, which puts a smile on my face of course, but so does getting any kind of G at any price, period.

Hay Bro! Sometimes you just need to pay the price. You did and I do not feel you are going to get that much better price any where. I belive Grubbs could help some but the air fair and travel this time of year could be a real problem. IM from California and right now you are the man!!!! Dam your car looks sweet. Enjoy your ride and go make some money some place else.
You guys here should buy in Utah and drive your cars back. Very nice roads here. I think you should be pissed off on the taxes you paid. Your car was a steal if you think about it! Dam I like the new wheels big time. Be happy your the man right now.--------- Dennis
