My G got hit! :(
Woah...you can supply your own parts, that's 100% your decision. The body shop should never dictate parts epecially when you're supplying straight oem or aftermarket style oem parts!!!
Of course you can supply your own parts, as long as you agree to do so with the body shop ahead of time. As it turns out the body shop im using is friends with my brother so they were ok with it, they just suggested OEM to make their lives easier lol. So these would fit that request just fine
Still need a front bumper+grille

I actually saved that listing, I was thinking going nismo or inven. If not I will just go back stock, Has anyone used the bumper from that seller before? I am just worried about it fitting correctly
Update, well I told my body shop I don't want my car sitting there forever, so they didn't do the usual jacking up the price. They just took the initial appraisal and was going from there. Then this past weekend I get a letter from the other guys insurance saying they are willing to pay 80% of the total?! So their client drives on the wrong side of the road and hits someone and are only taking 80% liability? I left 3 voice mails for them yesterday, no call backs. I seriously hate insurance companies.

Secondly, I've been in the same kind of situation. After the initial adjuster came in the hop estimate was about 1000 over what insurance said they'd give me even though I was not at fault. Long story short, my shop said "don't worry, we will fix eerythinh and deal directly w the insurance company bc I was clearly getting jacked around. I gave the shop all the info for the adjuster and the company and they got the increased $ for repairs needed.
So my point is: you're getting jacked around and I think you should have the shop contact the adjuster/company, maybe that could help you in the long run. Shops have more experience dealing w the bullshit insurance companies play w individuals!
The other persons insurance is Plymouth Rock?
My issue was the adjuster came out, and said $3400, which included a refurbished bumper, and not replacing but rather fixing my qtr panel. I don't like either of those 2 but whatever. So the adjuster could have gone higher with the price but cut corners. Then my body shop didn't raise it either like they normally do. So the 20% is screwing me. If either of the 2 shot high and they offered 80% at least it leaves some wiggle room. I don't want my car fixed "as cheap as possible" if you know what I mean. It was mint with oem parts prior to this psycho playing bumper cars came along.
It would make more sense if their adjuster said 3400 my body shop said 5000, and they say OK 80%. But the fact that their initial number was low, and my body shop didn't raise it.
Like they approved new headlights which were 650ea, if they are offering 80%, there is no way in hell are you finding oem head lights for $520 complete. Let alone the -20% for install and such. I was hoping by me buying my own head lights saving $$, I could move the extra money into replacing my qtr panel rather then "fixing it". I guess thats not going to happen now.
I guess I will call my body shop today.
