bad not starting my car for a week?
My G has been sitting in the cold garage for 7 days because of snow, i know this might sound like a really stupid question but would it be unwise not to start the car and just leave it there? Or should I just start it for a bit and let the engine warm up?
One week is really not that much. If the car is going to sit for real long periods of time (like a few months), you should definitely remove the battery and put it on a battery tender. Add some extra air pressure to the tires too so that they don't get flat spots.
It is good to start it up every once in a while though too, warm it up to full operating temperature, and make sure you use both the heat and the A/C. Corrosion in the cooling system can be a problem when a vehicle sits for extended periods of time.

My car frequently sits for a week/10days.
Is it good? Probably not.
Just make sure you get it on the intersate/long drive for at least 30 mins every month. This must be high speed driving not stop and go. Reason: things like diff/trans won't get to operating temp

A week is fine. I have done that a few times. Like everyone been saying you might want to get a battery tender. You should be able to let it sit longer before the batter dies but your going to need to really drive the car for a while to recharge the battery.
Mines been sitting for a month now, sounds like **** when I started it. But I think it just need to get on the road because it was perfect when I parked it.

Like everyone said. One week isn't a big deal. When I go on vacation I leave the car in the garage and it's fine when I'm back for just a week. For long periods of time it helps to have it run for 30-45 min as well as the heating/cooling system. I have a friend who has no wheels or suspension with a sitting car for over a year now, and he just let's it run two times a week in the garage and all works just fine.
