First off anything is possible. All you need is the right tool. Second of all. I'm running a catch can with my breather. Works awesome. I can open my hood after a nice run and see faint smoke come out of it. So I know it's doing what it's supposed to.

No matter if you have a VQ or not. A catch can is a catch can. Wether arc or eBay.

If you go with a breather can. Make sure you tap into the right spot. I have mine coming from my Pcv valve and coming back into the vacuum line that originally went into the charge pipe. I'm boosted so I don't have that vacuum line going into anything

Or if you just want to go to any other line. You just have to buy a check valve from advanced

I'm pretty sure they either run a line to the ground to avoid the oil smell, or just block it. But for some reason I still think you can hook the bigger line on the other side into it as well, isn't that how the v2 can and the g35 can work?

Ok serges did a SEARCH on the Z Forum, there's a post on installing this can but it requires plugging/welding all the holes on top and welding in a new bung. Just because it's possible to install doesn't mean you should! For what they cost it's not going to look worth a damn!

SAMz, basically the catch cans keep keeps the blow by oil out of your plenum so it doesn't end up in your motor mixed with gas. When I discovered this back in '05 I immediately installed the HomeDepot can to collect that unwanted oil before I bought a real can....they work!

Thanks Gary. How much oil does it collect? Like how many ml every 1k miles?

I remember when I installed my plenum spacer I noticed some oil residue, nothing serious though. I might consider one.

Also what did you buy Gary for a real can?

I'm using a C6 polished Vette catch can due to is small diameter. Size is always a consideration when buying a catch can, we don't have a lot of room. Check out my garage, there's a pic of my engine compartment and the catch can....Gary

Theoretically this can should work if I add another port near the mount? If no one chimes in im just gunna sell it here or on my 350z

yea 2 bungs would work if you blocked off that breather, pcv to can and can to plenum

EDIT

found this too but its with a vortec, it seem the breather was an issue hence the V2 can, but seems to work fine with FI as is so IDK

could you use the breather to tap the pcv, block the other holes and use the other bung to the plenum

it should go in between the pcv and the plenum, a line from the pcv to the can and another line from the can to the plenum
