Black or Diamond Graphite?

They are both so clean.
Which one do you prefer?
Black owners, do you wish you got another color?
Graphite owners, do you wish you got another color?

lol personal preference, plenty of people that are happy with each color choice. Of course you will always have people who want something else. In general black is harder to keep clean and will show swirls/etc. much more easily so just keep that in mind. But, buy what you want, not what others like - it's not the car we will have to look at and drive everyday

My first G35 was a 6MT '04 Diamond Graphite coupe fully loaded with Brembos with only 40k miles that I got December 18th, 2010 for $16,000. Greatest purchase I ever made and that car was without a doubt the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my entire life. I don't know what it is about the DG color but it's just so perfect.

I only had it for less than 6 months before some guy t-boned me after he ran a red light and completely totaled my G. The airbags in the G saved my life and about 3 months later after all of the insurance hassles were over, I decided to get another G but this time I wanted an 05+ so I could get the updated interior with the rev up engine.

I looked everywhere for another 6MT DG coupe but never had any luck. I eventually stumbled upon an 6MT '05 Black Obsidian coupe with 47k miles and that was the next best option. I bought that July 31st 2011 and I've had it ever since.

Overall, the DG is still the greatest color on the face of this earth but the Black is still gorgeous. The only thing I dislike about Black is that it gets dirty fairly quickly but it's still a pretty color.

I have DG. I think black looks better in the rare occasion that it's clean. Any spec of dirt shows up real easy. I have a black truck and a black motorcycle... they are nightmares to keep clean.

The G looks nice in DG and it hides dirt very well. Personally, I'm glad I went with DG, although I will admit that a black G35 with the Orange Brembo rotors and a nice set of rims really pops with the color offsets.

i'm glad with my choice. DG looks very classy, especially with nice rims.

.
Agreed. I own a black car and I have to wash it probably every 2 weeks. I even keep it in the garage. Not to mention scratches show like crazy.

I'm going to be honest, I wasnt a big fan of the diamond graphite until I saw one the other day with a blacked out grill (kept infiniti emblem chrome) and some black rims and I was blown away by how good it looked.

I have a black G and love it but it gets dirty really fast. Thing is, I don't mind washing it and rubbing it and tickling it's chin.

I have Liquid Platinum, and originally wanted a black G, but now I would love a DG. I tone of DG looks so badass every time I see one on the streets. I don't know if there's a difference between the '03-'05 DGs and the '06-07s but every time I see a newer one it always catches my eye.

I love everything about my diamond graphite coupe.I chose it because my buddy's black G's paint was a neightmare...swirls and fine scratches are very noticeable and the car was a f*****g hell hole in the summer,so he traded for a white 350z.

When I originally bought my car I was dead set on getting black after seeing a few in my area. But due to how insanely hard it is to keep clean as well as there being swirl scratches all over it I have thought pretty heavily about trading it for a DG.

But I would have to find one with low miles, 05 6mt, with wing spoiler, I would also have a pain switching over my parts (exhaust, 06 projectors, springs/struts, getting it retinted, debadge, repaint the grill etc.) Probably not worth it.

+1 I hate silver too. Every car that my parents have ever owned has been silver with the exception of a maroon Tacoma, but a great deal's a great deal with the G lol. When I was G hunting I only wanted black, white, or settle with silver if I really had to, and that's where I'm at now But it seems like DG and LP appear to be the cleanest even when they're not.

WOW, Exactly what I was planning on doing to mine if I got DG. Looks amazing.

I agree with you on that. Like in the picture above. Before he modded it (ealier in the day), it looks silver, then when it was darker it looks DG.
