Clutch at high RPMS
Clutch at high RPMS
Hi guys, i picked up my first coupe 2 months ago and still getting used to driving it, however ive noticed that shifting at high RPMs, theirs this vicious vibration feeling on the clutch when its pushed in to upshift. Im not sure if this is normal or not, id like to be Jeff Gordon at times but I feel as if Im doing more harm then good.. The clutch feels fine when normal daily driving shifts, I tend to shift at around 3k. Anything higher around lets says 4.5-6k I get that weird feeling on the clutch pedal. Any suggestions? Its an 05 coupe
I get the same feeling from mine under the same conditions. All is still well after about 10k miles so I've just learned to live with it. Not like I'm hauling *** all the time anyway. But if there is something wrong I'd appreciate someone chiming in with some info.
OP someone threw a potential answer out to your question already. Pretty good suggestion as what might be the cause.
worth getting it replaced? or would the price just be so retardedly stupid that i should just wait until my clutch goes

Hold off until you need a new clutch. You dont want to go spending all that money on labor for something that might not even be the problem. Also, mine has done it ever since I've owned the car and it was never an issue, just a minor annoyance.
The problem you're describing is usually the gear synchro's in your transmission. When they wear out or are becoming damaged it causes very notching shifting at higher rev's and can eventually let your car pop out of gear. When throw out bearings go bad, the only thing you notice is a 'wwwwrrrrrrrr' noise when the clutch is engaged.
