Locked out of trunk??
Locked out of trunk??
Anyone ever get locked out of their trunk? I am sure this has been discussed but my search didn’t answer my question. How come on two separate occasions I was unable to open my trunk using either the key fob or the latch release in the car? Most reciently I just got to my destination and went to get in my trunk and it wouldn’t open. I had to get back in the car and put the key in and turn it to get the release inside the car to pop the trunk. It was annoying!
I think you should bring that in to get checked... For the in car release... something might be holding it back... Happened to my eclipse and the remote... I'm not to sure... maybe the battery...
there's a cut-off switch in my glove box for the trunk ('05 coupe). i think it's for valet mode... so no one can get in without the master key. see if u don't have it switched.

Exactly, check by your glove compartment (to the left)...make sure it isn't locked in the "valet mode" or else the car thinks your a valet driver each time you hop in
If it is, use any of the master keys to turn it the other way and viola! But I'm curious about 05s having a lock for manual opening on the back??? I don't think mine has that, unless I didn't see it? Last I knew, it was only acessible by the remote or the button in the car.
Yeah...about that trunk. I drove a block before I slowed down to go over a dip when I noticed that my trunk was open. I just realized that the dash does not tell you if the trunk is open......it this just the coupe? Same issue for the sedan?
