Unfortunately what is considered normal goes away within a second on start up, not after driving around and warming up. U need to verify the weight of the synthetic your using.

ok not sure about that, gotta ask the mechanic
The noise usually lasts till I start driving the car, (only on cold starts) But I can't hear it while im in the car so I don't know exactly when it stops. All I know is that whenever I stop driving it, its stopped.(Its always warmed up by then)

mechanic(not the one that did the oil change) said it could be timing chain going but not really something to worry about unless it happens while driving and not just on cold start. I forgot to ask him if it still causes wear on the engine but he told me to drive it and make sure to always put 5w-30 synthetic oil in with lucas on the next oil change.

thats like a sawing grinding. chain is a ticking rattle. Sounds like a real loud throwout bearing. cud be a pully or belt. u cycle the a/c on/off

ill try cycling the a/c tom morning on cold start. If it was a throwout bearing, pully, or belt, can it cause further damage or can I wait till the noise is permanent to fix it? Honestly I feel like it may be a lubrication issue because the problem happened right after my oil change. I'm gonna try to get the exact specs of the oil he used.

now that its nicer out, no more grinding on starts but now I'm getting a whining noise while I'm driving sometimes. It happened today and felt like the engine was struggling. I think its related to the grinding.
From what I've read on here it can be a throwout bearing, the timing chain tensioner, or an oil change can solve it. I'm gonna try the oil change and see if it stops.
