Project started : 2004 G35 LS3 Swap - Daily Driver – Track day a few times a year
turbo
Im no turbo specialist. However with some creative accessory placement a TT might be possible. Might need to forgoe ac. Single turbo should be easier.....I know people do pro chargers....and roots style super chargers definitely easiest for packaging. Might be best to go with a custom tube front end. Check out brewhaha's build I think he is doing a TT setup
I like that intake setup, nice and clean. Mine was custom welded and fab'd up without much input from me haha. It works perfectly, just not the prettiest thing to look at. Keep it going!
Picture for reference... I'm going to find a way to make it look better some day lol. For now, I am just enjoying the smile I have while I am shaming the ever loving **** out of every stretch of pavement I can find. As for the turbos and traction, just give up trying to get anything to hookup in 1st and 2nd. I have about 425hp to the wheels and about even torque, but I already want more power.

^ Hey Drizzle, do you have any more pics or feedback on your swap in any threads? I did a quck stalk action on your username and you don't have a thread on your swap. Are you DDing it? Did you retain all of the goodies (AC, PS, etc). When you are referring to hooking 1st and 2nd, are you talking about FI LS or you are already having issues with it? (I'm assuming you have sticky, wider tires and aftermarket suspension)
Hybrid - Sorry for the side convo just like Drizzle said. But I'm sure that you would like to hear more too, as it could be helpful for all of the swappers

You could get a stock 2004 CTS-V with a similar setup and for cheaper. Having owned one, I will say the 04's had a weak differential and dont feel nearly as solid as the G35.
I still think its awesome when people do swaps though, unique and a real head turner. Nothing beats the sound of an American V8.

How does this affect handling? I'm assuming it throws a little more weight up front and throws off the Gs great balance, no? Or is most of the extra weight midcentric? That may actually help it be more balanced.
Also, will you be putting "G62" badges on it? Haha

Oddly enough I have contemplated a G63 badge....lol
I have just gotten my driveshaft finished. 4 inch aluminum with internal slip fit. I will post pics and thoughts this weekend.
I have had serious issues with my harness supplier and I think I have wasted a bunch of time waiting. I think I will resource in the next couple days. To a local supplier I just found.
Thanks for keeping my thread going......more updates coming .....phone not ideal for posting...lol
