G35 Check Up Help

Hey guys I recently just hit 57k miles on my '03 coupe. I purchased it at around 56,400, with 1 owner who says she always maintained it and only drove it around 10k miles in the last 2-3 years. Now I am wondering what at home check up I could do to make sure every thing is running smooth and to ensure my baby lasts way past the 150k mark?

Check your fluids regularly, oil changes every 3-5k miles with full synthetic 5W-30. Your next major maintenance should be done at 60k as the factory recommends a full service (replace filters, full fluid flush, brakes checks, etc.) every 30k miles. Other than that the engine should be good to go. Check your car's service manual, it should be in the same place you keep the owner's manual.

I'd do the 60k mile maintenance and call it good. Any suspension noise?

The car creeks and squeeks alittle over bumps sometimes; however, I think that may just be the interior. It sounds like its coming from around the rear window area.

I'd just do an oil/air filter change to be on the safe side so that way you know what you've got running in your car. Use some engine cleaner before changing out your oil and maybe even some fuel injector cleaner. This is cheap and will give you a little piece of mind.

I am not due for an oil change for about another 800 miles or so. Would you recommend dumping some engine cleaner into the cars oil now or wait until my oil change becomes closer?

Wait until just before the oil change. Please, please do not use seafoam. That can ruin your engine bud because it is like water.

Do a full tune up, make sure you change your spark plugs every 60k miles.. since youre around there maybe its time to change them.
Change your drive belts as well if they look worn out, my previous owner didnt change the drive belts for 80k miles and when I replaced it, the old one had cracks all over it.

btw congrats on your new car.. 50k miles is low on a 03 coupe. i have a 03 coupe and got it at 94k miles
