why is this thread still alive? who the %#@^% cares what other people think a "sport car" is. Are people that insecure that they must have random people over the internet think their car is super-duper-awesome?
There is no strict definition, it is a sports car to you or it isn't. can't "prove" it one way or the other. boo-freaking-hoo.
all road driven cars are somewhat of a compromise (maybe unless you count the radical sr8 rx as a road legal car). some are more sports, some are more luxury, some are cheaper, some are more expensive, some are reliable, some push the envelope, some go for lap times, some go for driving feel, some are for homologation for race series. Where you draw the border is up to you.

Not at all. I think it's good to share opinions and differing thoughts on cars. We can learn from each other on the differences... else, how else does one's knowledge grow? Car companies pay millions for people's opinions like this, so how is this thread irrelevant or so over-discussed, according to you?Originally Posted by totopo

I'm mean really - that's just your opinion but 2,500 people have read this thread with interest - what the hell else are we here for?

Since someone awakened this and I've joined recently, i'll chime in.
Sports cars = 2dr, 2 seat
Touring cars = 2dr, 2+2 seats
Sedans = 4dr, 4+ seats
Our cars are touring cars and are even given the GT (Grand Touring) badge in Japan as the 350GT. Just my opinion though.

Yeah, these (sedans) are GT cars, with a little flash (nobody had a design like it when it came out in 2002, now the new ones look like every other *** car) and reasonable performance.
