Hood Hinge Replacement - Rubbing Fenders

So my hood hinges are jacked & need to be replaced. I was wondering if there was a how to or anything of that nature on replacing these? Dealership wants $600 labor to replace both sides. I already bought the hood hinges but havnt really dug into it to see what is involved just yet for the install.

Long story short the hood rubs on the corners of the fender bad. I tried using wd40 and other lubricants to loosen them up and all though they help it hasn't fixed the issue and the corners of the fenders wont be healthy for long at this rate.

I was just curious aprox eta this type of job should take. Unfortunately all my tools etc are still at my folks place so I would be driving there to do the swap. It will be at least a few months before I can get all my tools and equipment moved into the new place but I don't wanna wait that long.

It's pretty easy. I replaced mine a few months ago on my 04 sedan, this thread helped out a lot https://g35driver.com/forums/interio...problem-3.html

It's a lot easier with a second set of hands so keep that in mind. Overall a very easy DIY.

Keep in mind, the hardest part is aligning the hood, so it doesn't rub. It does make it so much easier with a second set of hands.

Yea, i got them replaced on my own but the hood dosnt close all the way. Its either from not having the fenders down all the way as im waiting for my new headlights to arrive before I tidy them up or the hood might need to come forward a little. I should be able to loosen the bolts at the hinge to the body and pull them slightly forward.

Kinda started a few things at once so waiting on my new headlights to show up before I finish tweaking the hood but so far so good. New mounts open the hood super easy, no rubbing etc.
