Headlight Ballast Part & Replacement

Hi I have been searching the forums and I have answers all over the place and was hoping someone could clear this up for me.

#1 My passenger side headlight randomly dies while Im driving, usually just turning the headlights off and turning them back on brings them back to life. - This issue is most likely the Ballast correct?

#2 Can the Ballast be replaced without taking the entire front bumper off? I heard its accessible from under the car with a Phillips head screw driver?
What about the Bulb?

#3 Can the Ballast be purchased NEW from anyone outside of Infiniti ? Also what kind of Bulbs does this car take?

#4 I was seeing brand new (much cheaper) aftermarket ballast and headlight bulb's for brighter or different color headlights on eBay. Can these be used as a direct replacement or do other things need to be changed?

I too have issues with the factory ballasts. It's shoddy design from Nissan. Seriously why would you put a ballast on the underside of a headlight where all the water will seep in and fry the electronics? I ended up just getting aftermarket ballasts and plugs and re-soldered the connectors and shrink wrapped it after. I unfortunately went through 6 factory ballasts already and each one ended up getting water in it after some time.

I pulled my headlight out without going underneath and without dropping the bumper. Though my method was also out of pure desperation because I went through so many ballasts that I stopped bolting my headlight assembly to the frame. I ended up just yanking the whole thing out and keeping the top bolt in to secure it. Not the best way, but it got the job done especially how often I had to replace stuff.
