Is this bad for the tires?
Hi,
Every time I back out of my driveway I have to go over a change in elevation where the sidewalk meets my drive way. The sidewalk is about 3.5 inches above my driveway. Is this bad for my tire/wheel? I go over it slowly but its high enough that I have to give my car more gas to get over the elevation change,
Thanks!

It shouldn't cause any trouble since you're going slow- there are bigger bumps out there on the highways, railroad crossings, speed bumps, etc., that cars have to deal with every day. I would ask a local asphalt paving contractor how much it would cost to smooth it out- probably wouldn't be as much as you think.
