I have a 2003 G35 Coupe with cat-delete and a Godspeed true dual cat-back exhaust. I love the the sound it produces and Godspeed did a great job getting rid of the rasp by incorporating a equalizer towards the front along with resonators midway down and resonators coming off the mufflers. Gives it a real deep tone which I love.

I used the search function...i did research on internet. NOT ONCE DID I SEE A PERSON ASK ABOUT VETTE SOUNDING EXHAUST... Still has nothing to do with immature responses...are u justifying the ridiculous responses with your answer? Close this thread,no backing down from me
Yes, close this thread, it has obviously degraded to personal attacks.
There are hundreds if not thousands of threads, posts, vidoes and sound clips of G35 exhausts. Just because the term "vette" is not used in them all does not make them all erelevant.
Besides, which year, motor, and type/brand of "vette" exhaust are you talking about? A 427 big block with straight pipes or cherry bombs will sound nothing like an LS7 with a Corsa axleback.
Nevermind, don't answer that. Either way, your G35 will never sound like either one of them.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have a similar question:
I want my G35 to sound like an F-14 encapsulated in a dragons fart. How can I make my medium sized V6 sound like a high powered jet engine coming out of a giant fire breathing reptiles a$$? I mean I want something that truly sounds like Satan's lullaby.

How do you make a G35 sound like a vette? You can't.

There is nothing exhaust-wise you can do that will make a VQ35 sound like a V8 or a V10.
The motors themselves are one of the biggest contributing factors on how the car sounds with various free flowing exhausts on them. Things like aftermarket headers, high flow cats (or no cats), and resonators generally amplify the sound and can alter the tone of the exhaust a bit, but it can't make the engine sound super high pitched, like it's revving really high, or like it has more cylinders than it does.
Youtube is a good way to get an idea of what exhausts you might not like, but you need to keep in mind that most systems sound better in person than on a video and both the quality of the camera that the video was recorded on as well as the quality of the sound system that you are playing it on will make a huge difference in how accurate the sound clip is... not to mention that the location of the mic in the recording will make it sound different (think in-cabin vs a mic mounted on the rear bumper or right near the exhaust itself).

OK Thank you. last 2 posts sound reasonable. like i said im redoing my g35. having it completely redone body and all by a custom builder. He rather have me pick the exhaust. as I said in original thread.."i know nothing about exhaust" so I came here "G35 driver" figuring i would get an idea. and as i said..im leaning towards the borla system because I DID MY RESEARCH. but reading and watching videos 'HATCHMAN"is nothing like taking or inquiring with real guys who deal with these cars each day. I for one do not. bought the car and sent it out to be redone never drove it. VAYDOR is building this one for me. 1 of 1. he does bodies and stuff for customers but never built one soup to nuts for a customer. for those of you who dont know what vaydor is "youtube....G35 vaydor" Matty is the best of the best rebuilding G35s, but wants me to choose exhaust sound. All I needed was a simple answer other than "research" Like i said before....IF YOU CANT HELP-DO NOT TYPE. move on to something else to read. some people just cant help themselves i guess.
THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED........and yes, those are caps
