redoing my 04 coupe exhaust, need vette sounding exhaust

Ok,did plenty of research online, utube etc...still havent seen any exhaust that i can put on my stock 04 coupe. Im leaning towards borla but would like some expert opinions from some vets here....im not worried about HP etc...just want a nice sounding exhaust like the vette or viper IF thats possible....car is being completely customized but im not a exhaust pro...any help is greatly appreciated. Ive emailed some exhaust sellers and most have said borla....i do not want a screamer or nothing ricey...thank you

This is a very touchy subject. This car is not easy to get a "good sound" from. If you don't have the right stuff in the right place in the exhaust stream, you get rasp (very bad) or drone (sometimes tolerable) When it's done right, you get a smooth almost Jaguar type sound. I don't think you will ever get a "Vette" sound due to having only 6 cylinders. I don't recommend removing (unless you replace it with something else) the mid pipe. I think that is where the rasp is controlled (correct me if I'm wrong guys, remember I have a sedan with HKS rear section, love it!), and what I have read here leads me to believe that the Coupe is harder to get a "smooth" sound from than the Sedan because you have a dual system.

I think there are plenty of folks here that can steer you in the right direction.

What exhaust would you recommend to give the car that Jaguar sound?

GT Haus has an exhaust by Miesterchraft (not sure if I spelled it correctly). That exhaust sounds beautiful. I have a exoticspeed exhaust which I love. Everybody and there grandmother are going to swear by motor Dyne although they're not the best so get ready for that. Miesterchraft is the ONLY system that I know of that has a valve inside the exhaust that allows you to remotely adjust the sound and exhaust flow.

Ultimately, the decision is yours. I bought my exoticspeed from the market place on this forum. Start there you never know what you'll find.

Thanks Brooks, I could not remember the name of that exhaust.. The miestercraft one sounds really nice as does the borla. I almost pulled the trigger on the borla since I like the deep sound but ended up going for the Nismo S tune. Here is the link that helped me decide..

Here is the exhaust. Cool looking oval tips too.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have a similar question:

I want my G35 to sound like an F-14 encapsulated in a dragons fart. How can I make my medium sized V6 sound like a high powered jet engine coming out of a giant fire breathing reptiles a$$? I mean I want something that truly sounds like Satan's lullaby.

Your Infiniti badged Sentra does not have a V6.

Damn..I was so certain it did..so how do I make my 4-banger sound like a Bugatti then? C'mon..I know there's gotta be a way to make my car sound like something like a lambo or a freight train, or a cat getting raped by a rhino..? C'mon..I'm willing to spend like $250 on making it sound like the starship enterprise.

Having flown F-14s for about 1000 hours, I am also interested in this. Standing next to a Tomcat on a cat shot will pretty much vibrate the fillings out of your teeth, so if we can get this combined with any sort of dragons... take my money!
