When you are releasing the clutch and pressign the gas and the clutch doesnt grab into gear, it just keeps on revving LOL

When I had a 92 celica I noticed that when I would push in the clutch all the way and try to put it into gear, sometimes it wouldn't go and the "give" point in the clutch was all the way to the ground. The only thing i could do was to stall the car and start all over. The ceclia had 120k miles and I ended up getting rid of it, so I don't know if it was the clutch that needed replaced, but I think it was.
I was also told before, but this could be to test your transmission, if you put it in 6th gear at like 20mph and floor it and the rpms rise but the car isn't moving much more, then you need a new one.........but I'm not sure if that has to do with the clutch or not.
Also, I highly doubt you need a new clutch at 1100 miles, maybe its just in your head.

Roughness as in tiny rubbing feeling?
Yeah, i have that too. Comes and goes.
Sometimes it's like silk, sometimes it's like rubber rubbing on rubber.
Not saying it's normal, but i have it too.
Doesn't mean you need a new clutch, could be the bushings on the pedal need oiling/greasing.
I took it into one dealer (Santa Monica) but the guys working there had no clue what they were doing.

These are the same guys that kept telling me Infiniti and Nissan are COMPLETELY different. Go figure.
