You could go with the 350z Eibach Sportlines. Its a 1.2 drop on the 350z but it is more on the G35 because it is heavier. Not exactly sure how much more. Search the xxr 526 thread. A guy named Jazzy had a black G with sportline springs on it. It's pretty low. Also remember the camber kits. Front will wear fast.

+1 for 350Z Eibach Sportlines, it says 1.6"F and 1.4"R.. and for a G35, add another 1/2" of drop.. that would be the lowest a G could go only on lowering springs.. they are selling for 229$ a kit on tirerack.com with free shipping
around 2" drop all around

But with this amount of low, your stock shocks would get screwed pretty quickly.. i'd rather go for coilovers, used if you can't afford a new set. (1.5-2k$ new)

I don't know much about Tanabe. I have only used Eibach when it comes to springs. I have always liked them. Decent handling and ride comfort. But I had prokit also. But the 350z sportlines would go really low. Their should be some pics on here somewhere.

Just save the few hundred or so you'd spend on springs to get used or new coils
No use wasting the $ when you plan to ditch them anyways lol
