I'm new to the coupe , just got one ... Had a 02 maxima.

I been doing some research and from what I've read best hp mods are these

Spacers
Ztube
Xyz pipe

Is there anything I'm missing? My goal is to keep each mod at around 300, and i dont want forced induction or a loud exhaust

Not much-most will be from the plenum spacer. An exhaust with ART pipes and if you're a revup, an MREV2, plus a tune will be the difference maker

Keep searching around for first mod info. This entire site is damn near a "what should my first mods be" forum lol

According to Motordyne the spacer is worth 8 to 10 whp plus that much torque! The Z-Tube just changes the sound and offers zero gains! XYZ pipe is worth a few hp but it's the OE converters that cost you major hp. Replace them with HFCs (high flow cats) like Fast Intentions they're are worth 12+ hp! You can't just replace the converts and retain the OE exhaust, the increased flow will give you a terrible sound/rasp. Search using subject "Best Exhaust" that's where you'll find good advice on that subject. Good Luck and enjoy the ride...Gary

I have been researching but i have some questions.

To Gary ... If i get a motordyne xyz pipe with hfc and stock exhaust i will get a raspy sound?

To anyone... Are my choices xyz pipe with straight pipe.... Xyz with hfc .... Or art pipe???? Or is the art pipe and xyz a diffrent part of the exhaust?

art pipes most likely won't pass. But then again I can see our state failing people for hfc's as well too

Your OE exhaust system was only designed to hold so much volume, HFCs alone would give you rasp! It's like putting 3 lbs of dog **** in a 1 lb can, how's that for a visual?
Motordynes ART pipe replaces the converters, I ran these for a whole week and went back to HFCs!
