Rebuild Transmission or Replace it

Should I buy and Transmission with 80,000 miles on it and get it put in for a total of $1,500
OR
Should I just get it rebuilt for $2,000?

My 05 G35 has 82,000 miles on it.

I really dont know, maybe I ran it too hard or the previous owner did. Only had the car for 5 months and its worked perfectly fine until now.

Im trying to find a re manufactured transmission because i heard thats the best way to go and will probably cost the same as rebuilding it.

Way too much for a re manufactured tranny. check your local salvage yards (would be the cheapest way to go)

Nissan and Infiniti have solid transmissions, idk how yours went out. I would just buy another one from a low milage G35 from a salvage yard. I would not go the re-manufacture route, unless it was a built transmission.
