I think it was all of the different options it had on it, plus an insane markup. I know of ford dealers right now who have a $28k markup on the GT350. Those who want the latest/greatest are gonna pay through the nose for it. Or they just don't care about the price because they have so much money...
Dealers do indeed gouge past retail for many highly sought after cars. Saw this with the hellcat. I wouldn't think the gtr is desirable enough for a dealer to do that, but I don't doubt it either. Some places have completely different demands in their market.

Internet price is only $104,977! Buy it online and save yourself $195,033 over the in-person price!

The rear bumper would still be designed different and the rear quarter panels will still be gtr.
I think it's the tails you should be changing out.

Wrong one and that's in the Nissan show room.

The one I saw is pearl white and is in the Infiniti show room.

I think this is right.

I was recently at the dealership so I could pick up some Nissan ATF ($19.99/quart, thieves). The White GTR is sold. Managed to track down the salesperson that sold the car about 4 weeks ago. He wouldn't let me take any pictures of the paperwork. He was willing to talk to me about the car, however. They had it inventoried for $187,000. I'm not sure what made the price jump from the msrp of $149kish to the $187k, the options list was long and the abbreviations was hard to read. I recall seeing "Titex" for something like $14,000+tax. Don't know what that was but it caught my eye as it was one of the most expensive options. They had it on the floor for $287,000 and admitted it was a $100,000 markup. They ended up selling it for $193,000. I don't know if that included taxes and fees or if that was on top, he wouldn't tell me. If it didn't, that's nearly $16k in just sales tax alone

They said they had another one coming before summer. So I'm curious to see what they do with that one. I'll keep an eye out for it and see what they put it on the floor for.

Hey guys, back with an update. After a very very long time 3D modeling, i have something that is almost finished. I am no longer using the gtr taillights but using the g35 taillights. I plan to build this project for the summer.

GTR's are overplayed. Why not a Ferrari kit? Sounds like many on this forum would love to have their 15 second cars look like this:

I almost had sex with a Ferrari just like that! But I got caught in the midst of my seduction.

Ferrari kit on an Infiniti/Nissan?... uh NO.

Ferrari's are nice on their own. Slapping kits on another car like the G would be gross. Do it on a Civic, coz no one cares for those.

The $64,000 is why do this when you can probably get a GT-R for the same price that it'd cost to engineer, fabricate, install, and maintain that?

To me the proportions look odd. But good luck to your endeavors. I applaud your out of the box idea.

I always loved this body kit.

Because he can.

Same reason that builder did that Vaydor kit. If NC can make it look right in the end, its worth it. I bet its way cheaper than buying a used GTR as well

If he has free time, the monetary cost to fabricate this whole thing won't be much at all. If he builds a one-off for himself, probably the price of the donor car plus maybe a couple of thousand $ in parts including tires/rims, and the rest would be mostly fab work and the cost of raw materials to support that effort. Certainly not $64K total cost to him.
