g35 misfiring... what do you think?
Throttle body cleaner is the best bet, idle will drop if it sucks some in and it won't damage sensors.
Propane will work though, just barely crack the nozzle it barely takes any. There's so much airflow in the engine bay that it's not going to accumulate and explode, when the engine ingests the propane your fuel mix will go rich so it's not going to blow anything up.

Lol propane works the best on all combustion engines- i havent blown up anything yet
But agin no vac leaks with either mothod...waiting on $ for parts

I disagree, it's hard on the O2 sensors. But it absolutely does work, the only time I use it though is if I still suspect a leak but the TB cleaner doesn't find anything or if I just can't seem to spray TB cleaner on the spots I think it's leaking.
I just finally looked at the picture you posted of those spark plugs, that black one is running SUPER rich, I suspect a sticking injector.

Yes that plug was so black and dry brake cleaner didnt, even touch it...
Gah my wifes gunna murder me,
Packs AND injectors fml
Was smelling raw fuel during misfire sessions lol

If the coil packs pass a visual and electrical inspection with a multi-meter then don't replace them. Pull the fuel pump relay, plug a coil pack in, put a NEW spark plug into it, hold the tip of the spark plug about 1/4" away from the intake manifold and have someone else crank the engine. Wear a dry leather glove, observe the spark to make sure it's working.
Rinse/repeat for the other 6 plugs, then you will have verified that the coil pack is working and the plug is working. Reinstall everything, run it a week, pull the plugs and check them again. If one is fouled out badly then I'd go straight to the injector and replace that one, if money isn't so tight then just replace them all but the other 5 probably aren't a problem.

Lol, mark my words some day it'll happen. I used to say the same thing about a 5 cylinder engine and look what ridiculousness General Motors cooked up for the Colorado...
Same problem. Well almost
Pic of timing if helps.
New member to the forum, been coming here for help with my car for a while so I appreciate everybody on here that being said I am having the same at least very close to the same problem as listed earlier in this thread
strange whinding sound when pushing gas pedal, frequently smelling fuel but not always. Fuel trim jumping all over all in the positive as well as extreme loss of power, running rough misfire of course showing code P 0300 but it's not the standard misfire i get frequently where i usually just pull the plug for whatever cylinder it indicates usually 3 or 4, clean it up and pop it back in and it will run good for a while till I have to repeat. But this time its obviously more then that and the whining sound when I push the gas scares me its something major. Did we ever determine the real culprit in this thread all tho it may not be the same problem I'm hopeful, been trying to solve this for almost 2 weeks. I love my old car its not in the best of shape I only paid 2100 for her a couple years ago but definitely been my favorite ride ever and I've had many over the years and I'm just not willing to let her go yet. Shes stock just got a muffler I welded on and some nice aftermarket 18in wheels.
